For established brands that look older than the business

Brand Refresh Services That Keep Your Recognition and Lose the Dated Look

Your business has moved on. Your brand should catch up, without starting again.

KEMET Reisen welcome card from a complete identity system by iBrand Identity

In short

A brand refresh updates your logo, colour, typography, imagery, voice and website while keeping your name, positioning and recognisable assets.

Refreshed identity and guidelines from $3,500 in about three weeks; with a refreshed website from $7,500 in about six weeks.

Most brands don’t need to be replaced. They need to be brought up to date: a logo that works on a phone screen, colours and type that look like your current prices, and materials that finally match each other.

iBrand Identity is a brand refresh agency for founder-led and service businesses. We keep what customers already recognise, fix what is holding you back, and hand over a system your team can keep consistent.

The signs

When a brand refresh pays for itself

You raised your prices, the brand didn’t follow

Clients judge the price by what they see first. A brand that looks like the old price point makes every quote harder.

Nothing matches

Website, proposals, social profiles and signage look like different companies. Consistency reads as reliability.

The logo fails on screens

Designed for print, it blurs as a favicon, an app icon or a profile picture, where most people now see it.

Refresh or rebrand?

Know which problem you have before you brief anyone

A refresh is the right call when the meaning is still right and only the expression is out of date.

What we change and what we keep

A refresh is an edit, not a rewrite

What we do
LogoRefine and redraw; add horizontal, stacked and icon versions for every size
ColourAdjust for contrast, accessibility and a more premium feel; keep the colour people know you by
TypographyMove to typefaces that work on screen and in print, with clear hierarchy rules
ImageryDefine one photography and graphic style so every channel looks related
Voice and messagingSharpen your key messages and tone; the promise stays the same
GuidelinesWrite the rules down so the refreshed brand doesn’t drift back within a year

How it works

Our brand refresh process in 6 steps

The same method whatever the size of the brand.

01

Audit every touchpoint

Website, social, proposals, email, print. What is inconsistent, what is dated, what customers recognise. A brand audit can be the first step on its own.

02

Confirm the positioning still holds

One sentence: who you are for and why you are different. If it no longer fits, we tell you before any design starts.

03

Protect what carries recognition

We list the assets customers know you by and keep them. Everything else is open to change.

04

Refine the identity as a system

Logo, colour, type, imagery and voice developed together, never one piece at a time.

05

Write the guidelines

Clear rules for your team, your printer and any future designer.

06

Roll out in one go

Website, profiles, templates and signatures switch together, with a short note to clients explaining the change.

Frequently asked questions

What are brand refresh services?

A brand refresh service updates how an existing brand looks and sounds while keeping its name, positioning and the assets customers already recognise. It usually covers an audit, a refined logo, colour, typography, imagery, tone of voice, brand guidelines and, if needed, the website.

What is the difference between a brand refresh and a rebrand?

A refresh changes the expression; a rebrand changes the meaning. If customers understand what you do and why you are different but the brand looks dated, you need a refresh. If they don’t, you need to revisit positioning, which is a rebrand. Our guide to brand refresh vs rebrand goes deeper.

How much does a brand refresh cost?

From $1,200 for a one-week positioning check, from $3,500 for a refreshed identity with brand guidelines, and from $7,500 with a refreshed five-page website. The first five clients in each tier take 30% off. See every tier on the services page.

How long does a brand refresh take?

About three weeks for a refreshed identity and guidelines, and about six weeks when the website is included. The rollout is planned so everything changes on the same day.

Will you redesign our logo?

We refine it rather than replace it: simplify details that disappear at small sizes, redraw the letterforms, and add horizontal, stacked and icon versions. Existing customers should recognise it instantly.

What if the refresh reveals we need a full rebrand?

Then we tell you before any design starts. The first step of every refresh is confirming that your positioning still holds. If it doesn’t, new visuals would only make an unclear message look better.
