Brand Strategist for Founders Who Have Outgrown Their Brand

You built something good. The brand just doesn’t say so yet.

Martina Boshra, brand strategist and founder of iBrand Identity

In short

A brand strategist decides who your brand is for, what it should be known for and why it is worth more.

I run every engagement myself; a one-week positioning sprint starts at $1,200.

Most founders reach a point where the business is stronger than the way it presents itself. Clients who know you pay well; strangers compare you on price. That gap is not a design problem. It is a strategy one.

I’m Martina Boshra, a brand strategist and the founder of iBrand Identity. I work directly with founders and service businesses to decide what their brand stands for, then turn that into a position, a message and an identity the whole business can use.

This page is about the person. The full scope, deliverables and method sit on brand strategy consulting; when the brand already exists but has drifted, the work usually starts with a brand audit.

The role

What a brand strategist actually decides

Three decisions sit underneath every brand that charges what it is worth.

Who you are for

Not a demographic. The specific buyer who values what you do most, and the ones you should stop chasing.

Why you are worth more

The advantage you already have, named precisely enough that a stranger can repeat it and a competitor can’t copy it.

How you say it

One story, told the same way on the website, in proposals and in the first five minutes of a sales call.

Working with me

What changes when the strategist does the work

01

One person, start to finish

The person who runs your diagnostic is the person who writes your positioning and signs off the identity. Nothing is lost in a hand-off.

02

Strategy before visuals

No logo sketches until the position is agreed. It is the cheapest point to get it right.

03

Decisions, not decks

You leave with choices made: one audience, one promise, one message, written down and ready to use.

04

Built on real search demand

Every strategy includes the terms your buyers actually type, so content is written for demand that exists.

05

A small number of clients

I take on a few projects at a time so each one gets full attention.

KEMET Reisen: a position before a logo

Personalised KEMET Reisen welcome card with a restrained Art Nouveau pattern

Client · Travel & hospitality · Egypt · Germany

KEMET Reisen started with a decision, not a design: be the private, German-speaking alternative to package tours. Once that was agreed, the papyrus emblem, the lotus and Nile pattern and the navy and desert-gold palette followed from it.

  • One audience: German-speaking travellers who want a private trip
  • One promise: local expertise without the tour bus
  • Identity, stationery and website from one system

Frequently asked questions

What does a brand strategist do?

A brand strategist decides what a brand should stand for before anything is designed: who it is for, what it should be known for, why it is worth more than the alternatives, and how it should speak. The output is a positioning, a message and a set of decisions that design, marketing and sales can follow.

How much does a brand strategist cost?

Working with Martina starts at $1,200 for The Catalyst™, a one-week positioning sprint. Strategy plus a complete identity starts at $3,500, and strategy, identity and website from $7,500. Every tier is on the services page.

Do I need a brand strategist or a designer?

If you can already say in one sentence who you are for and why you win, a designer is enough. If that sentence keeps changing, or your work looks good but still competes on price, you need strategy first. Design built on an unclear position has to be redone.

Freelance brand strategist or branding agency?

With an agency, the strategist you meet in the pitch is often not the person doing the work. Martina works with a small number of clients at a time and runs every engagement herself, from the first diagnostic to the final guidelines, with design and production support from the iBrand Identity studio.

What should I prepare before working with a brand strategist?

Nothing formal. Useful inputs are your current website, a rough sense of your best and worst clients, the competitors you lose to, and your prices. The free Brand Positioning MRI™ takes five minutes and shows which pillar is weakest.

Do you work with clients outside Egypt?

Yes. Martina works with founders and service businesses across the US, Europe and the Gulf, in remote working sessions scheduled across time zones.
